FOOD RUNNER

We are looking for a dedicated, organized dishwasher who enjoys working as part of a team in a fast paced culinary environment. The Food Runner’s duties include a range of tasks including preparing tables, stocking supplies, coordinating take-out orders, serving orders, explaining meals, and facilitating collaboration between kitchen and wait staff.   As a Food Runner, your ultimate goal will be to provide our guest with outstanding customer service and actively help to improve their overall dining experience. The ideal candidate will be friendly, professional and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

To be successful as a Food Runner you should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time customer service skills. You should be able to multi-task in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver food orders to a variety of customers in a timely manner.

  • Prepare take-out orders with proper condiments, utensils and special requests for customer pick-up.

  • Help the wait staff set up tables by placing appropriate tableware, eating utensils, decorations, and napkins.

  • Uphold our food health safety and sanitation principles.

  • Occasionally check on customers to handle any impromptu requests or issues.

  • Remove dirty dishes from the table.

  • Inform management on customer feedback.

  • Preparing dining areas for next shift by cleaning and restocking dining areas and server stations

  • Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.

  • Reporting accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimal work experience.

  • Must be self-motivated and self-directed

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multi-task

  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.

  • Exceptional time management skills.

  • Ability to stand or walk for 8-hour shifts and lift at least 20 pounds.

  • Willingness to comply with all food safety procedures.​

  • Able to work early mornings, nights, and weekends
